WHAT IS AN OUTLIER? An outlier either 1) introduces a new or novel approach to using otherwise well-known Immersive Education technologies, or 2) introduces technologies or techniques that are not yet widely utilized by the Immersive Education community.

For example, a unique approach to using virtual worlds or video games (well-known iED technologies) for teaching or training would be considered an outlier. Likewise, presentations or demos that feature 3D printing, Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC), or augmented reality (AR) would also be considered outliers because these are not widely utilized to the global iED community at the present time.
